Golden Globes Red Carpet Wrapup

I knew it. I just knew it. Now this is a juicy red carpet. The good were amazingly good, and the bad was epically bad. Juicy stuff. Lots of fashion porn and even better fashion misses. Here's my red carpet rundown of the big night:

Best Dressed:
Angelina Jolie MURDERED this red carpet. Killed it. Thanks for playing starlets but you can leave now...exit the carpet stage left.
CLaire Danes's dress was MAGIC.
Emma Stone in Lanvin was simply beautiful. Young fresh and slightly daring. I heart this girl.
Helen Mirren is a goddess! She looks better than half the young'uns there. If I were a publicist I would immediately push my talent into the venue...you don't want to compete with that.
Sofia Vergara looks like sex-in-a-dress. I'm now 25% lesbian.
Evan Rachel Wood is daring without going overboard or smacking us in the face with it. Its edgy that seems natural and not contrived. Pay attention Rooney Mara. This is what you should be aiming for...

Worst Dressed:
What in the Windsor Fashion hell was Missy Pyle wearing. It was so bad it was almost good because I admired the level of self esteem it takes to show up dressed like that. It was so bad it pissed me off.
It pains me to say this....it actually physically hurts...but Frieda Pinto wasn't fit properly at all. That dress would fit me perfectly...that's how bad it fit her. She one of the most beautiful women in the world and now, shes tented.

Best Hair:
Evan Rachel Wood. Amazingly structured with height. None of that wispy messy crap that girls seem to be so keen on these days. Messy is for the mall. I wanna see glamour....bring it.
Worst Hair:
Nicole Richie. She looked like she just escaped a wind tunnel.... on Mars.

Randoms:
Stacy Keibler just looked like a leased piece. Does she speak? Seriously, has anyone ever heard her voice?
Elle McPhearson is like what an angel in Barbie heaven would look like. She should be sponsored by Mattell.
Elizabeth Mc Govern hasn't aged in 10 years. Bravo lady, but she must owe her first born child to Satan. She looks THAT good.
Peter Dinklage is SEXY! Its undeniable

Most Improved:
Octavia Spencer looked amazing. Her red carpet tour for The Help has been miss after miss and on some occasions she looked outright like shit. Here, she looks beautiful. Amazing. Where has this been the whole time? She stepped it up for The Globes and it shows.

Orange you sexy.

I love this asshole. No seriously, I do. He just looks like sex. Like a sexy lover who will wine and dine in french but also slip the waitress his phone number and ask the last time you hit the gym before sex. A sexy asshole. Im fully on board. Im buying what hes selling and Id probably spend a few days after crying and waiting for his phone call that will never come. Worth it. So if we, and People mag who named him Sexiest Man in the world love him so, why doesnt he love himself. Like have the confidence to just go au naturelle to events Why allow all the bronzer and excessive grooming products some sweet makeup artist who just wanted to keep touching you heaped on you. Damn blaming the crappy hotel room lighting......this was never a good idea. You look like a radioactive Ken Doll. And thats not what I need. I need you to look like you dont care, like your above it all, a handsome debonair rebel if you will. But your giving me Hollywood boytoy who plays the PR game and ITS..... BREAKING..... MY..... HEART.

OMG Oscars..

Insane. Crazy! Amazing. I'm done. I could never touch a makeup brush again and Id be ok. Who ever gets a performers for the Oscars? Its usually the same three people..Barbara Streisand, Randy Newman and Barbara Streisand. Well I got a performer. Not just any performer, the amazing Florence Welch. Bow down. The day started at the Kodak theatre, and went a little something like this:

Get Florence ready for Oscars redcarpet.
Back to dressing room for Elton Johns gala makeup change.
Police escort to Elton Johns redcarpet.
Walk the redcarpet.
Police escort back to Oscars.
Makeup change for Oscar performance.
Performance.
Company move to Elton Johns fundraiser gala.
Makeup change for Elton John performance.
Performance.
Makeup change for after party...DONE

I cant even describe how huge the night was for me. Amazing highlights include sipping champagne on the Oscar redcarpet. Standing behind the curtain and looking out at the A-list front row. Watching my talented girl and Elton John perform Tiny Dancer. And mostly, watching Florence love her 'looks' and work the hell out of the redcarpet.

MTV VMA's Florence and The Machine

Creatively I just had the best night of my career! Collaborating with an artist who has a distinct vision but allows you to express yourself and your art and play around with their image is what I live for. Its my art at its highest form. And to be a part of a team that creates the beautiful environment you see on stage is so fulfilling, When the stylist zipped up her couture Givency gown I almost wept. Fashion and beauty collided. From red carpet, to seated, to performance, to seated with as little as 8 minutes in between some the transitions for wardrobe, makeup and hair redos...it was a beauty hurricane chasing my girl Florence around with a brush. When she finally left the dressing room for the walk to the stage I held my breath and watched the monitor...then...glory. Perfect "face". Otherworldly performance. From the speaking voice to her signing voice is unreal. She throws her voice in a way I honestly didn't know was humanly possible to do live. She was amazing and the set with painted dancers was beautiful. Later, we all danced and jumped around in the dressing room to Madonna while the madness of the VMA's continued in the halls. There were a few memorable moments.....Drake's pep talk on my hunger, sitting backstage watching the performances, the vodka hunt, the food hunt, running into other artist friends backstage, the vodka hunt, and the hunt for vodka. Did I mention looking for vodka?

"You like me...you really like me"

Check out the amazing things photographer Lucas Passmore had to say about me on his blog. We recently shot together and had a blast. 16 year old, 6 foot amazon models in the outdoors....lovely.
